England should not resume cricket tour

I always believed that playing cricket is a job, i.e. one is paid to play cricket, so one has a responsibility to play, just as I cannot stop going to work citing fear of terrorist attack, so, a cricketer cannot stop playing cricket saying conditions are unsafe. Imagine me calling up my boss and saying, "sir I cannot come to work as I fear terrorists might attack the city". The city of Bombay is up and working, nobody is giving any excuses to not show up at work, so shoudnt the cricketers.

That being said, I dont want the Englishmen to come back to play cricket in India. I dont see how anybody can give them any garuntee that they wont be harmed. The terrorists are still at large (according to latest sources 10 of them are still in India), we havent changed anything in our security setup (the maharashtra CM is more busy gaurding his chair than taking care of his state, we have a new home minister who still needs to get his feet wet). The police still fight with their archiac toys (6 bullet Client Eastwood pistols Vs Ak 47s), there has been no intelligence that the terrorists are done, the indian intelligence agencies are still squabling among themselves, they are still finding bombs in Bombay, the captured terrorist says other attacks have been planned, we havent plugged the security loopholes in our country which the terrorits so easily used, in short nobody knows weather we will have another terrorist attack or not. All we know from the recent attack is that we have brave soilders who will risk their lives once the terrorists attack. It is our karma that we have to keep living in such circumstances, but we have no right to impose that on our guests.

Things might pass off safely, but that wont be because of us, but rather because the terrorists did not attack. I for one cannot call a guest home under such circumstances. I dont want the blood of Flintoff on my hands, when cricket is being played I will root for Yuvraj to maul Broad, hit him for 6 sixes, but I dont want him to die in my country, imagine the shame. Would we call someone home is there was any chance that that person could get hurt leave alone die at our place, no way, not on our watch, if everybody has some viral infection at home dont we tell our guests to come at a later time, than risk a simple viral infection.

I refuse to even have the match shifted anywhere, I think we indians are proud, if we cannot invite someone home, we will never visit their house and partake their hospitality. I do not have any confidence in our political and security setup that they are on top of the terrorist issues and will keep me safe, leave alone foreigners.

The BCCI garuntees that they will be safe, who is the BCCI to garuntee, did they talk to the terrorists, do they know what is happening, has Dawood called them saying cricket matches are safe as he likes betting on them. Does the BCCI have their own security people, how can they be so sure that nothing can happen to the english team. For a fist full of rupees, the BCCI is prepared to risk the honour of our country.

Lets drop the cliche that we need to get back to normal life as soon as possible, its not bravery, its foolishness, its apathy at its worst. Things are not normal, we still are at the mercy of the terrorists, and until the government does something, until we do something, that changes how things are we have no right to risk the lives of our guests.

Stop the cricket matches, ask all foreigners to desist from coming to India. Will our pride be hurt, yes, I sure hope so, but better our pride than our honour.

Questions after the bombay terrorist attack

I have been thinking over the attack on mumbai and have collected some questions that I got and some I found on the internet.

There was no way the terrorists could have carried so much ammunition with them when they assaulted the two hotels with their guns blazing. They believe the ammunition may have been stored earlier in rooms at both the hotels, perhaps on the higher floors, what where these rooms, who rented them, how did they pay for them?

If some of the terrorists had registered at the hotels earlier, could these men/women have left along with the guests who were released? Did the police record the identities and addresses of the guests who were released from both hotels?

The terrorists are said to have done extensive reconnisance of the city. If they are Pakistanis, how did they get earlier entry to the city unnoticed?

How many terrorists where actually involved, how many were captured alive

Whom all were called from cellphones in the Taj and Trident during the whole standoff

Why did the terrorists not blow up the full building itself? they had everything they needed.

Are the CCTV records of the hotels available?

Are there any missing hotel staff after the attack?

How can the terrorists fight for over 40 hours without any sleep?

Have all the survivors been finger printed and validated as actual survivors versus terrorists

Why dont the NSG have basic equipment such as night vision goggles

How was karkare actually killed

Why didnt the NSG have snipers to take out the terrorists through the windows

Why didnt the NSG not use sleeping gas, tear gas etc

Why doesnt the NSG have simple equipment to spy, record and view whats hapenning in the hotel rooms when the terrorists were there

It would be a good idea to review short sale positions on hotel scrips, specially Indian Hotels. Who had taken large short sale positions on Indian Hotels before 26/11?

How come the captured terrorist is talking so easily and telling us everything, has narco analysis been done on this terrorist

Can we get an explanation from Bombay police, chief minister, home minister as to what they were doing from 10pm to 4am when the NSG Commandos arrived

If we know the whereabouts of the LET and Dawood why cant we send out commandos to take them out in covert operations, do we need someones permission to make an assasination happen, it could always be blamed on a rival fiddiULass faction
Is the government or army sponsoring any research to help the armed forces with bullet proof jackets, night vision, sleeping gas bombs, remote cameras, voice recording etc

Coudnt we have jammed all communication in and out of the buildings, they seemed to have been in contact touch with their
masters in pakisthan

Cant satellite phones be tapped, monitered
